Peabody Tanners/Essex Tech Hawks Swimming and Diving defeated the Lynn Classical Rams at the Torigian Family YMCA pool this evening by a score of 98-76. The Tanners are currently undefeated in their division (4-0), losing only in their cross-division meet with Marblehead.
Individual event winners include Millie Teague (200-yard Freestyle, 100-yard Breaststroke), Kirsten Currie (200-yard Individual Medley, 500-yard Freestyle), Anthony Minichillo (50-yard Freestyle), and Will Connolly (100-yard Freestyle).
Relay teams that won their event include 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relay team of Will Connolly, Max Tkach, Anthony Minichillo, Roman Bukhovko, and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Lauren MacPhail, Millie Teague, Cana Teague, and Kirsten Currie.
"These athletes continue to bring a level of class and intensity to the pool," said Coach Maureen Shea. "We continue to see improvement by athlete and across events, which show the investment that these swimmers and divers have been making in their sport."
The Tanners turn next to hosting the Danvers Falcons on January 23rd at the Torigian Family YMCA at 7:00pm, before which the Tanners will recognize graduating seniors and thank them for their contribution to the team.
