Tanners Swimming & Diving Swims Past Somerville 89-80
Tanners Swimming and Diving won their second meet of the season this evening at the Kennedy Pool in Somerville, with a score of 89-80 over Somerville High School.
Tanners Swimmers Cana Teague, Michaelena Teague, William Connolly and Anthony Minichillo took home the win in the 200 Medley Relay. C. Teague was accompanied by teammate Lily Bromberger, Lauren MacPhail, and Stephanie McLean to qualify for MIAA Sectionals in the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:55.72). MacPhail and M. Teague joined Bailey Lopes and Kirsten Currie to qualify for sectionals in the 400 Freestyle relay (4:18.84).
Individual event winners include M. Teague (200 Free), which qualified her for MIAA Sectionals (2:07.50). Currie took home the 500 Free, qualifying for both MIAA Sectionals and States with a finishing time of 5:36.85. M Teague also qualified for sectionals in the 500 Free (5:52.67). Representing Tanner men, Minichillo won the 50 and 100 Free.
The Tanners swim at home next Tuesday the 19th, at 7:00.
