Golf Tryouts!

Golfers!  Tryouts for the 2017 golf team will be on 8/24/17 and 8/25/17.  On Thursday 8/24, all prospective golf participants should meet at Paradise Golf Range, in Middleton MA off route 114, at 10:00.  On Friday 8/25, all prospective golf participants should meet at Reedy Meadows Golf Course, in Lynnfield MA, at 12:45.  Tryouts are mandatory, parents/players are responsible for transportation.  Players must be registered and must have submitted a valid and up to date (within 12 months) physical to participate. SUMMER WORKOUT OPPORTUNITIES:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays:  6:15-8:15am and 8:30-10:30am.

Each session is 50 minutes of lifting and 50 minutes of plyo/agility/conditioning

Peabody Tanners Swimming and Diving fell to Danvers in their last meet of the regular season by a score of 81 to 104.  Their season  record  in complete at 5 wins and 4 losses.

 

First place finishes for individual events include Kirsten Currie (100- and 200-yard freestyle), Conor McCarthy (100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard individual medley), and Millie Teague (500-yard freestyle).  For relays, the Tanners won the 200-yard freestyle relay (Will Connolly, Cailin Currie, Kirsten Currie, and Conor McCarthy).

 

"This has been a great season for this team," said Head Coach, Maureen Shea.  "We have a lot of new talent, they worked hard and earned every point.  The coaching staff and I are very proud of them."

 

The Tanners now enter the post-season, in which they will be swimming next at the North East Conference Championship Meet at Salem State University on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, January 31 and February 1.
