Tanner Swimming and Diving won against Gloucester this evening at the Torigian Family YMCA by a score of 102-75. Peabody climbs to a season record of 3 wins, 1 loss.
Bella Forte won diving by a score of 140.93. Tanner swimmers won all three relays, with Cana and Michaelena Teague and Cailin and Kristen Currie winning the 200-yard Medley Relay and the 400-yard Freestyle Relay, and Nicholas Fursey, Thomas Zalewski, Kyle Griffin, and William Connelly winning the 200-yard Freestyle Relay. Individual event winners include Cana Teague (200-yard Freestyle), Michaelena Teague (200-yard Individual Medley), Nicholas Fursey (50-yard Freestyle), Kristen Currie (100-yard Butterfly), Cailin Currie (500-yard Freestyle, also achieving an MIAA State Championship qualifying time), and William Connolly (100-yard Breaststroke).
"At this meet more than half the team earned new personal best times, which is excellent following a holiday break," said Coach Shea. "This shows that the athletes are really putting the work into their sport."
The Tanners next meet Salem on Thursday, January 5th, at the Torigian Family YMCA at 7:00pm.
